Primer, do we need it?

Up until this last year, I knew of primer, but not enough of why I needed it. Does everyone need  it? Unless you have amazing skin, then no. If your foundation, doesn't set into your fine lines and pores, then no. If you have fine lines, pores of any size, them I would highly recommend a primer, I have searched from budget-friendly to high-end anywhere from Maybelline Instant Pore Eraser from Benefit POREfessional, but nothing worked for me. I thought that the Dr. Brand Pores No More was it, but it sadly wasn't. It would actually cake up and my foundation was not looking good. Yesterday we had a trip to the mall (my family and I) I love going to the mall, the closest we have is an hour and a half away so I make use of our trip, anyways I went to Sephora, and we can all assume that it was super packed on a Saturday (yikes!) I happened to be by close to the Smashbox counter, and I asked the lady who worked there if I can have a sample of the primer, I told her what I was looking for in a primer and she recommend that I get the Smashbox Photo Finish More Than Primer Blemish Control, it contains salicylic acid which help with acne breakout. So today I happen to be using it, I love trying on new make-up!, and as I was applying it, i can see the pores being blurred, I was so blown away! I was shocked. It hasn't made me shiny whatsoever, so far today, it has a nice light-weight feeling to it. I am in love! This is going to be a staple in my make-up routine!! And as my rave goes on, I do recommend a primer to help make our foundation look flawless!
