Worth the Splurge!?

Hi lovelies, I am doing a special post featuring a special guest! Shelby! Owner of Blog Obsessed XO :) We met on Makeup Social app, (an social media app dedicated to make-up lovers) and decided to do a special collab, so here it is! (Be prepared, I will be very thorough lol)

As we all know I talk a lot and mostly about beauty, skincare, etc. So we decided to do Worth the Splurge! Products that are a serious bang for our buck, items that we swear by. Although in the past year there were holiday collections that would have made the cut, Shelby and I didn't think it would be fair to post them since they are no longer available (sadly) These are my ride or die items, items I will repurchase over and over again because of outcome. Most of them you can purchase from Sephora!  Here they are:

GlamGlow Super Daily Clearing Cleanse Foam

I swear by this item like no other when it comes to skin care. I've had acne issues and oily skin, but this has seemed to make my acne problems almost gone! It is $39.00 for 5oz. at Sephora, the bottle is huge, about the size of a bottle of water. I have never spent that much on skincare, -ever! But skincare is a ritual we must include in our everyday lives. 2-3 pumps is all it takes. This is a wash but I use it more as a mask, i think it helps more when used that way. My face feels smooth, redness starts to fade, and importantly my face feels clear!

Kat Von D Light + Shade Contour Palette

Please forget about the Anastasia Beverly Hill contour kit. Please do. There is a much better one out there, and this is it! So smooth, buttery, blendable, pigmented, versatile and beautiful. It even has a mirror, a mirror! I love palettes with mirrors, I don't know why. The pans are much bigger, shades are not chalky. Do I need to keep going. The banana powder has me sold. It actually is smooth, it shows up, we get the point. We all struggle to find a good contour palette and I found it. (Plus I am giving 2 away in a giveaway!) $46.00 at Sephora

Becca Opal Highlight

I have never seen such a beautiful highlight, in my life. I have other but none compare to this. I have Nars Albatross (very disappointing), Benefit's Watt's Up (little hard to blend), Mac Soft n' Gentle (it's beautiful, but I found better). With just a touch, I already illuminate. I have no words for this product, beautiful finish, I have light/medium skin and this just adds the cherry on top! It is pricey but I swear it's worth it! $38.00 at Sephora

Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar

If you love the first Chocolate Bar, I swear you will love this, I grab this palette a lot. It really is pigmented, delicious smelling, nicely done, a lot of good neutrals. I love this more than the first one! It has good transition shades, an obvious pop of color shade. My ultimate favorite shades are Nougat, Mousse and Peanut Butter, neutrals of course! These are colors that I do not have, unlike any other :) $49 at Sephora

Anastasia Beverly Hill Dip Brow Pomade

This is smudge-proof and possibly bullet proof. I love this product, for a defined brow this is your guy. It has colors to suit everyone needs. I use either Dark Brown or Ebony, depends on my moods lol. A little of this does go a long way. I've had this more than half a year and I haven't made a dent. I have looked for similar cheaper product, but she mastered this beauty. $18.00 at Sephora

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray

This holds my make-up in place, and this works awesome if you are oily such as myself. This is so pricey I almost didn't buy it. But how can I let my make-up go to waste especially if I put time into creating my look?! This sets it. No questions, no more talk. This stays puts, couple sprays later, and my make-up still there. 4 oz. $30.00 at Sephora

Nars Sheer Matte Foundation

My staple when it comes to foundation, this is matte, I love this foundation. It makes a hole in my pocket, like so little product for such a harsh price, but when I tried it, price really didn't matter, it gave me what I needed. Medium coverage, matte, perfect color (ceylan) not cakey. Every time I go to Sephora or online, it's always sold out. That must mean something, right? Downside -no pump. $45.00 at Sephora.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz

Yes another amazing brow product, for a more natural, on the hurry, go to look, this is it. I am a busy woman and I always reach for this, no mess, easy to use. I love it, I swear I have searched night and day for a decent brow pencil, and I found it, not at the price I want, but I found it. I heard it runs out real quick, but it hasn't yet. $21.00

Kat Von D Everlasting Lipsticks

I love these liquid lipsticks, although they are super pricey, I still love and will always buy. I love the new version formula of Lolita, only because I have never had the old formula, but this color is my "thing". This literally lasts almost all day (only because Im giving kisses to my loves). The color range is faily good, it would be nice to have more subtle wearable everyday colors, but this makes the cut. The color "Lolita" is always sold out. $19.00

Smashbox Primers

I love these primers, they are not "greasy" on my face. This gets the foundation looking pretty good! :) I have tried inexpensive primers, and they are fine, but this makes it easier to apply my foundation, an extra layer from preventing the foundation to sink into my pores, which we know that is not cute. They have a nice selection suited to certain needs, and yes they are pricey, but for a primer, I think this is worth it. It works on most foundations and I am truly happy with the outcome. $36.00

Special thanks to Shelby for wanting to do this, I hope you love her page like I do. She puts hard work and dedication to her page, like myself, and I admire that.
Thanks girl, I really enjoyed doing this!
