Wet n Wild Dual Ended Contour Stick REVIEW

While grocery shopping at Wal-Mart i stopped at the beauty aisle (as usual) and spotted some new finds at the Wet n Wild section.

As soon as i seen the Dual Ended Contour stick I thought it looked awfully similar to the NYX one, and for under $5 I had to take it home and test out out! I got the shade Light/Medium

My first impression was the packaging was bulky. Another thing was that the highlight side was not yellow toned like the box led to believe so that was a tad disappointing.

So yesterday I had the chance to try it out and here are my thoughts:

While applying this, the first layer seemed a bit dry but with the warmth of my face it seemed to become creamy.

I also used a BB and a kabuki brush to test which one was a better use and the BB won. The dampness of the BB helped blend away better whereas the brush was hard to blend with.

The contour had a hint of warm undertone and it felt as if it was a bronzer; not a contour. It wasn't too bad in my non expert opinion.

The highlight part wasn't too bad either since it was almost white. I had set it with a yellow toned powder and to my suppose I didn't crease as much as I normally do.

Overall this product wasn't too bad especially for the $4 something i spent on it, I wouldn't know it its a dupe for the NYX one since I didn't purchase it.

I have this product a sold 7. The concept is there and the product was pretty good, the packaging is too bulky though. I think this if you're interested in it, then go for it. It is super affordable and worked well but I can say that I wont be purchasing it since I have no need for it.

Also I spotted palettes from their line which I thought were super cute, but I didn't purchase and those were around $5 something

Apparently this will be a mini! How exciting! It look so cute, does anyone remember when they had the bigger version of this, and how pricey it was?! Now it will be available as a mini! Look out for it soon!

Carmel Toffee Color Icon Contouring Palette Wet n Wild Swatches

I had to give this product a fair trial, wore it tested it, took selfies, etc. This is not comparable to the ABH or KVD palettes whatsoever. I'm not sure what color to describe it as, it's not ashy and it's not orange, so that would mean perfect? The price was for about $4, very affordable and it comes with a highlight, this is slim it can easily fit into an acrylic drawer with no hassle.

This color is nice for someone that is light/medium. I do not recommend this for someone Fair or Deep skinned being if you are fair it will look super ashy and if you are deep skinned it will not show.

As far as the highlight shade it is identical to KVD as far as the color goes, KVD Lucid is more of a buttery smooth texture, but still the same color, I don't really use this shade, I like more of a yellow toned highlight.

Overall this is a nice decent contour and highlight palette, they had another color Dulce De Leche but it wasn't available to me, and remember these are only exclusive at Wal-Mart, you will not find them at any other drugstore. I hope this review was a bit helpful!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kits

I love when I see swatches of new stuff, that shows confidence in their product(s). Here are the new swatches for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kit for $40. I would pay for that, why not? Her products are really good, and shes the queen when it comes to her brow products! I love how they came out with kits suitable to different skin tones, they are currently working on a new one for the "fair" people out there! I will probably go for either light or maybe medium! I think these might run out really quickly, who's going to get this? Available on Feb 17th!

Physicians Formula Bronzers, Yes More Bronzers

Speaking of Bronzers, why doesn't anyone talk about these, I feel like nobody does, at all. Look at how creative they are! I feel like buying them all, but I would have no room to store these cute things. I found these at Wal-Mart, I don't know the price I didn't really look but I think they are maybe $12.99. I just feel like this brand is underrated sometimes, maybe their products aren't the best, who know, what I do know is that these look so pretty!

Month of Contour: Anastasia Beverly Hills

Apparently this month is the month of "contour" I believe that is correct, how many contour palettes are out there?! ABH was like the first to come out with a contour kit, so now a book which retails about $150, yes that is quite expensive, and I bet people will stay pay for it. Each individual pan is $14 so this would really cost $378 if each pan was bought individually. So this is basically half off, what do you think, who's skipping out in this? Is this really necessary, I say if you are a MUA then yes you need this in your kit and your life. This would so be super handy, for all clients of color!

Wet n Wild Contouring Palette

Spotted at Wal-Mart, it's a powder contour, for around $4. It's amazing how affordable brands are joining the bandwagon when it comes to the new trends. I have yet to find and purchase this to do further swatches and reviews, I hope this is promising though!

Kat Von D vs. Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit

So which one is the better one? Contour kits are really making a breakthrough this year, I'm glad another brand decided to come put with one, because for a long time it was just the ABH. My thoughts?
Packaging: Kat Von D is quite bigger than the ABH, as shown below, it's a bit more bulkier.
ABH: very small and compact, when I first got this, I was stunned to know it was this small. The outside could get powdery as you can see from the picture below.
Inside: KVD has a nice big mirror, and for me that is super important! It has 6 nice sized shades, unfortunately this is not refillable, which for me that isn't a problem but for my deeper skinned ladies, I don't know how this would work out.
ABH: has no mirror, the pans are refillable which is a very good thing, people are able to customize to their own likings.
Shades: KVD has all matte, no highlighter, shades, they are almost buttery and super blendable, the darker shade, a little does go a long way! I have no problem using my brush with this the shades are big enough for me to pick up product.
ABH:The shades are all matte except for 1, it's a sheen highlight, I really love the highlight in here, it isn't over the top, but a nice healthy sheen to add is nice without having to reach for another product.  The shades are a bit chalky especially the banana powder. The darker contour shade (Havana) looks a lot like their light contour shade (Java) once swatched.
Price: KVD retails for $46 at Sephora
ABH for $40 at Sephora.

Final Thoughts (finally) as I was able to use both of them for quite some time, I prefer the KVD because it is so easy to blend out the contour, so blendable, and nice pigmentation. You get more out product, nice packaging, and it is only $6 for better product in my opinion. The dark shade is very rich in color, I absolutely love this palette, I use it when I do my make-up, it's almost a necessity!
The ABH is a bit harder to blend but still gets the job done. If you want to customize one for your one liking go with the ABH, they have so many shades to pick from. The choice is up to YOU!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit

Yes as you can tell I already got to working with this palette, I'm not sure if this palette was too hyped up or it actually is great. Incase you're not sure of the colors they go as followed from left to right top then bottom: Vanilla, Banana, Sand,
Java, Fawn Havana.

I appreciate that they have two different highlight colors and a shimmery hilight, I also love the 3  different contour colors. I think for more of our deep skinned ladies, I think this might be too light and may now show up, you may need to have them customized through their website.
The brushes I would like to recommend would be Ita by Nars, you will get perfect precision with that brush for that very sculpted look, also the Sigma F40 Large Angled Contour, I love using that for a nice natural contour, i also love the Real Techniques Contour Brush, it is nice and small to use and to dab int he the kit. Those are just some brushes I would recommend, everyone has their preference, then that is good too :)
I do wish the kit would have had a mirror inside, I think this would have completed it and I would have given this product an A+. So far I like it, well heck I just got it yesterday, I need to keep using, it's only fair to do a review that way. :)
