L'OREAL Pro Glow Foundation REVIEW

Hey! Its been a while since ive blogged about something. SO sorry about that! Will try and do it more frequently, I promise.

Before we get into this foundation, I have to say I have reviewed and tested this for over a month to get a feel for this foundation.

I had also selected several shades, I had a horrible time picking a shade not because of the limited selection but it was because I somehow chose a lighter shade on Ulta's website.

But nonetheless I chose the correct shade. I felt that shade 204 is just about right.

I have to say this is very dewy and very beautiful. I find that it is a good medium coverage and I feel it can be buidlable to full coverage.

I find this wears a good 8 hours while I'm at work, I do find it to get a little oily towards the end of the 8 hours but nothing some powder can't fix. It was super easy to use and work with, either a Beauty Blender or a foundation brush works just as good, of course a BB will apply a bit more sheer. This has got to be the best drugstore foundation I have ever used, wait I mean foundation period.

I have normal skin and I find that this makes me look glowy and beautiful. You can apply an all over powder and I find that it doesn't take away the glow. I LOVE this foundation you guys. The color selection wasn't the best it was okay but if you happen to find your shade I do think you need to try this. Also real quick, this doesn't feel dry and cakey as it shouldn't nor do I feel that it slides off or moves around.

I HIGHLY recommend this foundation. Just as good as my Too Faced Born This Way foundation, I actually stopped using it because I love this a tad more, or maybe a lot more.

Wet N Wild Highlighting Powder REVIEW

I love highlights stick, cream and powders, anything to give me that JLO glow! When i was at Wal-greens getting mill (we know how that goes) I stopped by the makeup aisle to see what is new, and lately ive been on a runt with makeup, Ive been more into skincare lately, and when I seen these I'm like hello.
They had 2 shades of the highlighting powders. I picked up one but the other one was better suited for my deeper skinned ladies, and for the multipurpose stick I think they had another shade I cant be sure.
Anyway I have to include that Wet N Wild has been really improving their brand and I am so happy for them! They revamped their basic packaging to nice sleek packaging, they reformulated some of their powders, they came out with some contour palettes, they have some highlights, they have pretty makeup brushes which I cant ever find because they're always sold out! So a round of applause for them!

This is going to be a small review because what Im going ot tell you, you must do, Leave, Get into your car and get these, Both of them. The powder is not that chunky glitter that no one likes, its finely milled. It is gorgeous!
I cant tell what the design is on the powder but its still cute. I swear this is probably my new fave highlight I know that sounds extreme but I don't lie. I think its in my top two after Oh, Darling and Watt's Up. The packaging isn't too bad either. Just a simple thin packaging.
The multipurpose stick is also amazing, super comparable to Benefit's Watt's up formula, they aren't the same shade but this is still pretty regardless. You can use this to highlight anywhere.
Each of these were $3.99 I kid you not. I hope this reviews helps, if you have any question, or you need me to swatch some other highlights to compare let me know!

Farmacy Lip Bloom REVIEW

Farmacy Beauty was kind of enough to allow me to review this lip bloom!

Farmacy Beauty was kind enough to send me this review and I am excited because I love lip products!

I will first have to say that this brand is nothing but natural goodness! It feels soo good on the lips and I do feel like it creates a barrier and this goes great under liquid lipstick!

This has the typical strawberry scent which I love with that hint of basil and I adore that! Its a little different but in a good way!

Ive seen this brand on Sephora's website but I haven't seen this lip bloom there!

I was using the Vaseleine Lip Therapy in Creme Brûlée but i didn't like how stick it was but this I found was just like a typical lip balm but better in the sense that my lips are kissably soft.

I do use these on my kids, I love their ingredients in it and I find that I will be looking into their brand quite a bit more now and I would love to try the Vanilla Mint Lip Bloom!

I appreciate that inside the packaging they added an inside story of their company. It shows the humbleness in their part. I can say that I really enjoy this lip balm and its my go to! I also highly recommend!

NYX Lip Lingerie REVIEW

I had been on the hunt for these since they came out and my CVS claims they have them in stock at the store but when I go there I don't see them so I got tired of waiting so I got them at Ulta and here is my review!

So they have a nice want and it is so easy to apply let me tell you. The formula is different then what I own. It is like a gel like mousse. It feels so lightweight on the lips I can barely tell its on my lips. The only thing is that they feel a little sticky at first and take a tad longer to dry them most liquid lipsticks. I don't seem that as a problem really.

The colors were nice since they claim they have a nude for every skin tone out there. I was just disappointed int two of the shades which is Embellishment and Bed Time flirt, only because they don't look nice on me but I will make them work because I can clearly mix them!
Final Verdict- I really like them and for the price its a good lipstick. I would try one see if you like it! My favorite one is Beauty Mark. It applies so good, the feel of it, not scented which I love, I have been using this for over a week and I love them and highly recommend them!!
So here is where I place my liquid lipsticks from best to not the best.
Lime Crime-they have the best liquid lipsticks hands down. Hate to admit it but they do.
Kat Von D-love their shades and their formula is amazing.
Nyx Lip Lingerie-so easy to apply dries nice and love their shades
ColourPop Ultra Matte-some of the shades are bomb AF like Beeper, Trap, StingRaye and some are horrible like Limbo, it starts to crack and flake off.
Milani Eternal Love-the scent of these are divine and the shades are okay but they are quite drying.
Stila Stay All Day- I hate to put these last but their formula is not the best. It gets so dry and cakey looking, the wand is difficult to use since it bendy, and once it dries it takes quite a bit to dry. I had a pronlem with Patina doing that but Caramello seems to do better.

Maybelline Dream Velvet REVIEW

I'm Hello everyone! How's it been? I'm sorry I've been Mia but I have been adjusting to some changes in my life, good changes. But now that everything is settled I have time to blog again!!

Here's a review of the new Maybelline foundation that I have been dying to try out!

The color selection wasn't the best since it wasn't a clear packaging I couldn't see the through it so I winged it. I got Nude 40.
As I got home I immediately swatched it and it looked super orange and I was super iffy about it, but still didn't stop me from trying it! (I'm more of a yellow toned kinda gal, incase you were wondering)

So once I applied it to my fave it felt really good. Very light, it has a gel like texture. Like a primer. It blended it really nice, I didn't have to work fast or anything.

I used my Tarte airbrush foundation brush and k think that worked really good, since it has medium coverage I felt I got more coverage that way, I prefer a medium coverage almost always since I don't have much imperfections.

I have normal skin and this foundation works super good. I get a good 6-8 hours of wear and that's all I need. I was super impressed on how well it lasted without it sliding or setting any powder. I also didn't use primer and it worked really good.

After 30 mins of wear it seemed to match my face really good, like it oxidized to my face really nicely.

I do highly recommend this especially for an everyday, it's very light with a good medium coverage. I found maximum coverage with a brush and as we know using a damp BB will thin out most foundations.

I purchased this at Wal-Mart for about $10 since makeup seems to be cheaper there than CVS and Wal-Greens.

Loreal Brow Stylist Definer REVIEW

Ladies and Gents: We have found a good brow pencil.

When I seen this at Wal-Greens while getting some milk, I was like yes, come with me, Let me test you out.

They had the 3 usual shades. (I don't know them right now, sorry!) So I picked up the darkest shade which is Dark Brunette.

Below you will see the comparisons between the ABH Brow Wiz and the NYX Micro Brow. It has a fine point, spooley, It is in between the Brow Wiz and the Mico Brow as far as fomula goes, its smooth and somewhat waxy. not as smooth as the Brow Wiz and not as waxy as the Micro Brow, it's in between.

I am already in love with this. This is a must have. It was about $8.99 at Wal-greens probably cheaper when it hits Wal-Mart. I am overall pleased, Highly pleased, It came in my perfect shade easy to use and the spooley isn't too bad.

I will pick this up for my makeup bag. Take it with me everywhere. I've never had a problem with these brow pencils to budge or fade but it's the thought.
(I don't like to carry high-end products in fear of losing them, meaning I love all my high-end products and affordable, but if I were to lose an affordable product I could easily buy it and is accessible to me!)

For reference I am in Ebony in ABH and Black in NYX.

Herbivore Hydrating Face Mist

This was an impulse purchase. It had something coconut and I was immediately sold on that fact alone. Im a freak. I love anything coconut.

Anyways, I love hydrating face mist. When I seen this I first thought, hm. Is this somewhat similar to MAC Fix + and I can asure you it's not.

It is just a hydrating face mist. You apply after you have rinsed your face, and before moisturizer and throughout the day if needed. This doesn't state to wear over makeup so that says something.

This has a beautiful rose scent to it, a little strong but since its a delicate scent it doesn't bother me.

This was a splurge because this was at $32 at Sephora (which is out of stick at the moment)

I personally would repurchase this because of the natural ingredients, it truly is hydrating, the glass bottle is simple yet chic and the smell is delicious!

My face can get dry through the year especially when the season change and this will sure come in handy.

Do you absolutely need  to go out and buy this? No. Only because Im sure there are affordable alternatives. If you have the need to splurge and would like to try something different, do try this!

Nude Skin Progenius Omega Treatment REVIEW

I'm Since I am all about skincare, I actually got a chance to review this!

It is a milk like moisturizer. First thing I noticed was YAY to a pump! Secondly it is a glass like bottle. It is actually a sleek like bottle, Very nice.

As soon as I pumped once a nice tiny amount came out, which is super nice because a pump is all you need!

As soon as I rubbed this all over my face, the first thing I noticed was the scent, It smells awful to be honest. I don't like strong scents, It did however go away and it doesn't linger unless you do two pumps then you still smell it,

Apart from the scent it feels nice on the face. Very hydrating, I like to use this under my foundation sometimes, it helps give a nice finish. Not thick or greasy.

I have been using this everyday and to be quite frank I have noticed a nice ample change on my face. Like healthy, almost like a glow. Heck, sometimes I just wear this and go on about my day, the healthy glow is that good!!
The only downfall is that scent. If it was non scented this would be a 10+ I do however recommend this because of how good it works.

You can find this at Sephora for $58, it is a little pricey but when it comes to skincare, I have no problem spending extra.

Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes REVIEW

I have mentioned these wipes before, at the beginning of this year to be exact and I still swear by them. They are super gentle. No scent which I like especially, when it comes to facial wipes.

It removes my makeup really well,  even my eye makeup. It even freshens up my face which I like.

These are a bit pricier like $6 which is okay. I have used cheaper ones and I will never go through that route ever again. It irritated the heck out of my face. It literally burned.

I learned to take better care of my face. Treat it well with less harsh ingredients. Especially when it comes time to remove my eye makeup. It is very gentle.

Remember ladies and gents, be kind to your face. Treat it well, take good care of it.

Hempz Fresh Coconut and Watermelon REVIEW

Okay so I am all about Skincare, like obsessed, its important to have good skin, healthy, glowy silky smooth skin, and OMG let me tell you, this smells amazing!!!

It doesn't feel greasy and it smells more like watermelon than coconut which is okay. It literally moisturizes, really good, I tend to get dry spots during the winter and my goodness this works really good.

I feel confident to use it on my kids skin, my baby and my husband, It smells lovely!!!

I found about this brand from a relative, and I asked to have some and I was immediately sold on the smell.

I use this after a shower, when I need to moisturize a bit, on my kids face before school. Literally anytime.

I recommend this brand solely because I can trust it. It works great, I got a good amount and it has a pump! The smell is light and not overpowering, if you don't prefer this scent they have others like Vanilla Plum, Original and Pomegranate.

I will repurchase this same one. And it works out for my husband and I. I usually have like the "girly" lotion but this works for both of us really good.

Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid REVIEW

So as I was at Wal-Greens, I purpsoely went there to see what new items they had, makeup products and I was amazed they had so mnay new stuff, and waht caught my eyes were these!

I am a liquid lipstick person at heart nothing else, and when I seen these I had to get them! These were $7.99 and Wal-Greens had buy one lip product get the other 50% off. It was a no brainer.

I got a few to test out. Here are my thoughts on these.

They have a nice color selection, I went for the nudes mostly because that's typical of me.

Packaging is okay, likes nice, not cheap, hard plastic.

Once I opened them, they had that horrendous smell, the same scent they use for their Elixirs that was an immediate turn off for me. I am very particular when it comes to scent and this was an immediate no. It smells like flowers. I love the scent of flowers but not for my lips.

It has a doe foot applicator very similar to the Stila liquid lipsticks just not as bendy as theirs are. It is very easy to use, just a good amoumt of stiffness to it.

When I first applied them on they almost felt like the Stila liquid lipstick but more of the NYX Soft Matte lip creams.

The drying process? None. These do not dry like a liquid lipstick. These have  almost the same finish as the NYX Soft Matte lip creams except they have a bit of staining to the lips. They go on so smooth but do not dry to a liquid lipstick. And this product doesn't claim to be a liquid lipstick, which is my own fault.

Overall they have a good color selection, decent price, the concept is good, the applicator is good.
Well I go and buy more shades? Probably. Only because I want some of the other shades that NYX doesn't offer (at least at my CVS). The only downside is the fricking smell. I hate it. It also sorta lingers on your lips. I'm actually 50/50. If it was creme brûlée or vanilla sugar or something like that. I would give this 100% but if the smell doesn't bother you, give this a go!

UPDATE: After careful consideration, I had to retun these, the smell was a deal breaker. It lingers and it too strong for my liking. If scent does not bother you, go for it, try one out, I do still think NYX Soft Matte are better.

Crown 35 Metal Eyeshadow Palette REVIEW

This was sent to me from Crown and I was surprised by this. How pretty are the shades? Shimmery shadows are my favorite especially with winged liner. Gives me life.

Let's get into the review shall we?

I was pleasantly surprised with the color selection, has just the right amount of brights, neutral, cool toned, and warm toned I would prefer more warm tones but only because its a personal preference.

This arrived in perfect condition. That is a plus for me. Packaging looks like it should, like the Morphe palettes do but this one is better because it has a big mirror inside which I love!!!

The formula of these shades are pretty good but not consistent. You have some shadows that are buttery and easy to use, and some shadows that are chalky, not all of them but some.

These shadows worked perfect with my MAC Fix + I mean beautiful. This of course did not include a transition shade which wasn't supposed to include one because its an all metal (shimmery) palette.

I do love this palette and the price of this is $22.95 which is a reasonable price for a good selection of shadows. I was super pleased with how pigmented the red shadows was, I don't own one and I was blown away. I give this palette and A-. I like to look for consistency with all the shadows in a palette and this didn't give me one. I mean it was only a few shades like the 2 blue ones, other than that, I recommend it.

Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer REVIEW

I have a review on a concealer which I have been testing out for you guys! I am in the shade Light Honey btw.

You know I like to give good honest reviews. I like to always keep it real. And I'm going to be real. I love to try all aspects in the makeup world. I needed to try concealers. So here it goes for you:

I love full coverage and breathable concealers. This is exactly what it does. Two birds one stone. Amazing and I was impressed.

I didn't think much of this concealers, I haven't heard much about it, but I like to give hidden gems chances for them to shine and this is one of them and you will probably see this on my life of favorite products of 2015!

I did a quick swatch on my arm below and it matched so perfect. And doesn't my arm look airbrushed lol? For one little dot it sure did cover a good amount of area. So as the good saying goes "Less is more" You can odiously see the perfect little spot on my arm, it looks like my skin but better. Imagine that on your face?!

I like to use this as a spot concealer, any redness, or some areas which need some coverage, I like to use this. You really don;t need a special tool or sponge to work this in. Whatever you have is good enough.

Downside: you do not need much to get desired coverage, which is actually a good thing, am I right?

I got the smaller size, and it is $28 and very with the money.

Milani Luminoso and Rose D'oro REVIEW

My town recently got a CVS, yes finally. I live in a small town so when a new store comes up everyone wants in. I was estatic when I first found out a CVS was coming because I knew for a fact they would have Milani and Nyx cosmetics. So when I seen these baked blushes I had to get them like ASAP. So many times I have wnated to purchase Luminoso online and never did. Here was my chance, yes everyone and their mom, grandmas, daughters and nieces have these, but until now I do and here is my review!

Luminoso- the name overall is beautiful (Luminous in English), an iridescent peach coral blush with sheens of gold, I am not a fan of gold and peach on my face but this deserves to make an exception. I think this shows up more on fair-medium skin, but if you have deeper skin, no worries, this can serve as a highlight! YAASS!

Rose D'oro-I love that name, which translates to Rose Gold. It really isn't rose gold, it's more of a copper gold. Regardless, still beautiful, this is nicely suited for all skin colors. The gold sheen to it is more chunky but can easily be avoided by tapping off excess off from your blush brush.

Overall, the packaging is beautiful. Gold. It doesn't feel like a cheap plastic like other drugstore packages. It does contain a brush that I discarded, no use for it.

This is all the hype. If you want to pick one up, please do!

Brow Satin by Maybelline

Since brows are the thing right now, well sorta, Maybelline came out with this Brow Satin. I didn't even know they came out with this until a late ngiht coming home from work, and we all know how this goes, I was stopping to get milk, and my usual routines consists of making a stop at the makeup aisle, and there I seen this, they had like maybe 3 other usual shades. This is a unique idea. It has a creamy brow pencil on one end and the other end had like a brow powder sponge applicator. I must say that I absolutely love this product, especially beause at the moment drugstores have been lacking with their brow products and this really is amazing, I do highly recommend it.

It stays well put. It is a little bit thicken the ABH Brow Wiz but with the right angle and techniques you really can use it to your advantage, and for about $8 this is basically a steal.
