R.I.P Duo Adheisve Glue

I rarely don't wear lashes at all, I'm comfortable putting them on, and I feel like I don't need them, I have a nice full set of lashes and I think for me mascara is enough. Well of course since I'm a beauty blogger I test out lots of stuff to do nice full reviews (which I haven't lately been busy remodeling my kitchen) so the other day I bough Ardell Demi Wispies, my gosh they are gorgeous, so here I am applying the Duo lash glue applied on the lashes like normal, looked in the mirror everything was fine, until I removed them like normal. Except this time my eye felt swollen and I felt like there was a bald patch where the glue might have yanked my real lashes (so sad) I had no idea what went wrong but my eye is swollen and on the lash line it's pink. so I think I might be allergic to it or something, but I've had it and used it before and never had a problem with it, I forgot to mention I only put lashes on my right eye just to see how it looked. Anyways does anyone recommend a good lash glue that helps with sensitivity. Leave your suggestions below, Now I am scared to use lash glue in fear that it will yank out my lashes, and I must say I didn't put too much glue on, just a thin even layer.
