ABH Renaissance Palette

As soon as I seen the Renaissance palette I knew I had to have it! Why you might ask? Um it just happens that lavender and rose gold are my favorite colors in the world and for it to be on a palette I was sold. Didn't care what the inside looked like. Good thing it looked beautiful1

This palette is unlike anything I have. Berry hues, coral, gold. Warn tones and right up my ally! Of course like any other o their palettes these are nicely pigmented. I was expecting that  since I own couple of their palettes.

Their Summer lip gloss was super out of my comfort zone I happen to wear nudes only but this is actually perfect for the summer and I will be taking this to my summer vacation! I didn't also thinl they woould be extremely pigmented! Super impressed and they aren;t sticky either! They have a strong vanilla latte like scent to them which I don't mind!

This wasn't much of a review just a little haul that I loved!

Stay tuned for an exciting giveaway! Also if you want, please subscribe to my IG, Twitter and Snapchat all same username Bellynim

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer REVIEW

Its has been a very long joinery with the eyebrows and they went from literally nothing to almost as bushy! which is good and I cant complain, its just that i'm waiting for them to grow out to shape them to mu liking,

So i am a brow junkie anything brow related i love, so with that being said I am somewhat knowledgable when it comes to brows.

I was super excited to try this because of the triangular shape. I can tell you that this is meant more to obviously define the brows that you have, this isn't meant for super sparse brows since it will drawn on because of the thickness of it.

I find that it was tricky to use as well you need to get the hang of  it. It is very unique as it has a thin side, more of a thicker side and a flat side to basically shade your brows.

This can also get very dll and a way to get it sharp you will have to run it back and forth on a piece of paper hello what a waste of product.

Although this can work for more defined brows this is a pass for me. It was $23 and same consistency as the original Brow Wiz but I have to say this is a waste of money. Don't do it.

I find that I ALWAYS go back to my NYX Micro Brow because of the formula, its perfect for me, it doesn't budge as easy and the ABH and its so nice to use.

This was a quick review because I didn't' like it. I thought I was going to like it because of the unique concept and I have seen other instafamous people still use this and their Brow Wiz, although this should do the job itself. I was fair and gave this a chance and now it will sit and will use it when I run out of brow products lol!

Self Made by Anastasia Beverly Hills

I had to get this beauty, I make it a habit on trying to get her palettes. I adore them. I am not so much into the packaging. It's nothing fancy and whatnot. It's just basic.

The attraction is on the inside. So many beautiful shades the one thing is that I see 2 shadows that are repeats from my other palettes. Pink Champagne and Buttery. I don't like repeat shadows.

I think from all my 2'previous palettes I own I would have to say this one is my favorite.  So many looks you can create with this. You can go either safe, bold, dramatic whatever you would like, there's one deal breaker. Where's my transition shade at? Hot Chocolate doesn't cut it for me. Yes it's matte but it also contains glitter.

I also noticed that it contained 2 more shadows that the other palettes. Also I do not like Buttery. It's is a weird light custard shadow that I try not to work with.

My favorites shadows are Metallic Plum, Islam, Blossom, Blush and Deep Purple.

It also contained the brush that not fond of. It works just okay.

Overall I do love this palette. It's beautiful somewhat colorful with shadows that I could actually see myself using.

ABH Shadow Couture World Traveler

I'm in love with this palettes. My favorite shadow has been Morocco. I pop that bad boy in that crease and blend away and I'm already confident.

I love this palette! The only shades that didn't show much was Spoiled, Azure and Heirloom.

Spoiled was more of a glitter shadow and no pigment if that makes sense.

Azure was so hard to pick up considering its more of a shimmer shade, I used it with a flat synthetic  brush and sprayed some Mac Fix + and that helped a little but that shade was so hard to pick up.

Heirloom was straight up chakly. It felt really gritty and you mostly picked up the glitter and not the purple shade and it reminded me a lot of the Too Faced Chocolate bar shade Candid Violet, just formula wise not shade wise, it's nothing but chalky glitter.

This is a very beautiful palette and the pigmentation is on point. This is a much toned down palette compared to their Artist palette which I love as well. I think I haven't found a blue/navy shade that has been super smooth and pigmented. I wont give up though! Hope this review was helpful!

NYX Micro Brow vs, ABH Brow Wiz

For anyone who is a mom out there, this goes to you. We have really no time to do a nice full brow look we would love so we have to fill them in with the little time we have! A couple weeks ago I got the Micro Brow from NYX and I was skeptical at first because the shade was a bit lighter than what I had hoped for, I like more of a cool toned color considering I have black hair, I got the color espresso and it was okay.

Now the NYX i feel as if it isn't waxy, but that is okay with me. I need my brows to just be filled in and that certainly did the job just right. It did hold up very well without having to set it with gel (i personally hate the look of brow gel, it looks crunchy and not my thing) , I was shocked and pleasantly surprised that it did. It did blend out flawlessly. It was so easy to use, it glided on nicely and filled in any sparse areas I did have. If you do watch Whatwouldlizzydo on Youtube, I agree with her on her the ABH having a powdery feel though, it does, but it doesn't give the appearance as a powder.

NYX and ABH are very indeed compareable as quality goes. They both are a bit different texture wise, but they both hold up good. Just the price, and of course the color selection.

On a scale from 1 being worst and 10 being the best I put it at a solid 8. Not because I didn't get the correct shade but because for me there is no such thing as perfect and 9 for me is "perfect". Would I recommend this, yes! Just make sure you look at the swatches. Is this a good price, yes. Because you get just about the same thing as you do with ABH one. I do love the ABH because color wise it was perfect, but ouch, the price is kinda high.

I can't tell you who takes home the prize only because I need to buy the correct shade and see if it matches well.

I wont be trying their dipbrow only because I barely touch my ABH dipbrows, I have 2 shades, I just don't ever feel the need to use it, only when I'm going somewhere and my make-up needs to be soon, right? Mostly powders and pencils for this gal!

Bambi by ABH Liquid Lipsticks

This color is so gorgeous and a lot of people knew that this was going to come out they just needed to reformulate the final results. Look at how pretty the color is. I myself will not be purchasing this because I think they are too drying, like they sink into the fine lines. Pure Hollywood looked powdery, cakey unattractive, I had to use a lip balm for it to look decent. So I won't be purchasing them anymore, I know a lot of people have had better luck with them!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kits

I love when I see swatches of new stuff, that shows confidence in their product(s). Here are the new swatches for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kit for $40. I would pay for that, why not? Her products are really good, and shes the queen when it comes to her brow products! I love how they came out with kits suitable to different skin tones, they are currently working on a new one for the "fair" people out there! I will probably go for either light or maybe medium! I think these might run out really quickly, who's going to get this? Available on Feb 17th!

Month of Contour: Anastasia Beverly Hills

Apparently this month is the month of "contour" I believe that is correct, how many contour palettes are out there?! ABH was like the first to come out with a contour kit, so now a book which retails about $150, yes that is quite expensive, and I bet people will stay pay for it. Each individual pan is $14 so this would really cost $378 if each pan was bought individually. So this is basically half off, what do you think, who's skipping out in this? Is this really necessary, I say if you are a MUA then yes you need this in your kit and your life. This would so be super handy, for all clients of color!

Kat Von D vs. Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit

So which one is the better one? Contour kits are really making a breakthrough this year, I'm glad another brand decided to come put with one, because for a long time it was just the ABH. My thoughts?
Packaging: Kat Von D is quite bigger than the ABH, as shown below, it's a bit more bulkier.
ABH: very small and compact, when I first got this, I was stunned to know it was this small. The outside could get powdery as you can see from the picture below.
Inside: KVD has a nice big mirror, and for me that is super important! It has 6 nice sized shades, unfortunately this is not refillable, which for me that isn't a problem but for my deeper skinned ladies, I don't know how this would work out.
ABH: has no mirror, the pans are refillable which is a very good thing, people are able to customize to their own likings.
Shades: KVD has all matte, no highlighter, shades, they are almost buttery and super blendable, the darker shade, a little does go a long way! I have no problem using my brush with this the shades are big enough for me to pick up product.
ABH:The shades are all matte except for 1, it's a sheen highlight, I really love the highlight in here, it isn't over the top, but a nice healthy sheen to add is nice without having to reach for another product.  The shades are a bit chalky especially the banana powder. The darker contour shade (Havana) looks a lot like their light contour shade (Java) once swatched.
Price: KVD retails for $46 at Sephora
ABH for $40 at Sephora.

Final Thoughts (finally) as I was able to use both of them for quite some time, I prefer the KVD because it is so easy to blend out the contour, so blendable, and nice pigmentation. You get more out product, nice packaging, and it is only $6 for better product in my opinion. The dark shade is very rich in color, I absolutely love this palette, I use it when I do my make-up, it's almost a necessity!
The ABH is a bit harder to blend but still gets the job done. If you want to customize one for your one liking go with the ABH, they have so many shades to pick from. The choice is up to YOU!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit

Yes as you can tell I already got to working with this palette, I'm not sure if this palette was too hyped up or it actually is great. Incase you're not sure of the colors they go as followed from left to right top then bottom: Vanilla, Banana, Sand,
Java, Fawn Havana.

I appreciate that they have two different highlight colors and a shimmery hilight, I also love the 3  different contour colors. I think for more of our deep skinned ladies, I think this might be too light and may now show up, you may need to have them customized through their website.
The brushes I would like to recommend would be Ita by Nars, you will get perfect precision with that brush for that very sculpted look, also the Sigma F40 Large Angled Contour, I love using that for a nice natural contour, i also love the Real Techniques Contour Brush, it is nice and small to use and to dab int he the kit. Those are just some brushes I would recommend, everyone has their preference, then that is good too :)
I do wish the kit would have had a mirror inside, I think this would have completed it and I would have given this product an A+. So far I like it, well heck I just got it yesterday, I need to keep using, it's only fair to do a review that way. :)
