ColourPop Brow Pencils REVIEW

I have been MIA I'm so sorry Ive just been super busy with work and such! Forgive me! I came back with several reviews for you today!!

I am happy to say I have hairy eyebrows! I've been letting them grow out and I look mean but by all means I am not! That is how they grew1

I love eyebrows! Anything in the brow world I want to try especially the new Benefit brow line!

I was able to get the ColourPop brow pencils in tow shades! I decided to do a review and also comparing them with other brow pencils that I own.

They shades are all super comparable except the CP Black n Brown is a tad warmer. The CP formula is super intense and you need a light hand with these. The formula is amazing it stays put no smudging there.

Whereas the ABH and the Loreal ones, those ones I found creamy and glide with ease the CP and NYX do not. And I think I prefer it that way only because the ABH and the LOREAL do tend to smudge quite a bit and the LOREAL is great but not that pigmented.

OF course here is how I break it down.

ColourPop $5 - and I find that a steal since I cant put this thing down. Ive been obsessed lately. It's almost like a pomade in a pencil form.

NYX- ultimate favorite! Ive bout like 4 already because it is amazing! It has the prefect formula for me. A little waxy but not so much creamy but easy enough to blend.

ABH- are super creamy. Good color selection. It's jsut too creamy for my liking. and for $21 each it's not worth it.

ABH Definer - trash. Waste of money and the concept isn't there for me. You waste product by trying to sharpen it.

L'OREAL - is pretty good, just as creamy as the ABH Brow Wiz just not as pigmented and the color selection is poor.

In the end I do recommend these CP ones. So easy to use! Very good pigmentation, and c'mon it is only $5!

Wet N Wild Highlighting Powder REVIEW

I love highlights stick, cream and powders, anything to give me that JLO glow! When i was at Wal-greens getting mill (we know how that goes) I stopped by the makeup aisle to see what is new, and lately ive been on a runt with makeup, Ive been more into skincare lately, and when I seen these I'm like hello.
They had 2 shades of the highlighting powders. I picked up one but the other one was better suited for my deeper skinned ladies, and for the multipurpose stick I think they had another shade I cant be sure.
Anyway I have to include that Wet N Wild has been really improving their brand and I am so happy for them! They revamped their basic packaging to nice sleek packaging, they reformulated some of their powders, they came out with some contour palettes, they have some highlights, they have pretty makeup brushes which I cant ever find because they're always sold out! So a round of applause for them!

This is going to be a small review because what Im going ot tell you, you must do, Leave, Get into your car and get these, Both of them. The powder is not that chunky glitter that no one likes, its finely milled. It is gorgeous!
I cant tell what the design is on the powder but its still cute. I swear this is probably my new fave highlight I know that sounds extreme but I don't lie. I think its in my top two after Oh, Darling and Watt's Up. The packaging isn't too bad either. Just a simple thin packaging.
The multipurpose stick is also amazing, super comparable to Benefit's Watt's up formula, they aren't the same shade but this is still pretty regardless. You can use this to highlight anywhere.
Each of these were $3.99 I kid you not. I hope this reviews helps, if you have any question, or you need me to swatch some other highlights to compare let me know!

Wet n Wild Dual Ended Contour Stick REVIEW

While grocery shopping at Wal-Mart i stopped at the beauty aisle (as usual) and spotted some new finds at the Wet n Wild section.

As soon as i seen the Dual Ended Contour stick I thought it looked awfully similar to the NYX one, and for under $5 I had to take it home and test out out! I got the shade Light/Medium

My first impression was the packaging was bulky. Another thing was that the highlight side was not yellow toned like the box led to believe so that was a tad disappointing.

So yesterday I had the chance to try it out and here are my thoughts:

While applying this, the first layer seemed a bit dry but with the warmth of my face it seemed to become creamy.

I also used a BB and a kabuki brush to test which one was a better use and the BB won. The dampness of the BB helped blend away better whereas the brush was hard to blend with.

The contour had a hint of warm undertone and it felt as if it was a bronzer; not a contour. It wasn't too bad in my non expert opinion.

The highlight part wasn't too bad either since it was almost white. I had set it with a yellow toned powder and to my suppose I didn't crease as much as I normally do.

Overall this product wasn't too bad especially for the $4 something i spent on it, I wouldn't know it its a dupe for the NYX one since I didn't purchase it.

I have this product a sold 7. The concept is there and the product was pretty good, the packaging is too bulky though. I think this if you're interested in it, then go for it. It is super affordable and worked well but I can say that I wont be purchasing it since I have no need for it.

Also I spotted palettes from their line which I thought were super cute, but I didn't purchase and those were around $5 something

Maybelline Dream Velvet REVIEW

I'm Hello everyone! How's it been? I'm sorry I've been Mia but I have been adjusting to some changes in my life, good changes. But now that everything is settled I have time to blog again!!

Here's a review of the new Maybelline foundation that I have been dying to try out!

The color selection wasn't the best since it wasn't a clear packaging I couldn't see the through it so I winged it. I got Nude 40.
As I got home I immediately swatched it and it looked super orange and I was super iffy about it, but still didn't stop me from trying it! (I'm more of a yellow toned kinda gal, incase you were wondering)

So once I applied it to my fave it felt really good. Very light, it has a gel like texture. Like a primer. It blended it really nice, I didn't have to work fast or anything.

I used my Tarte airbrush foundation brush and k think that worked really good, since it has medium coverage I felt I got more coverage that way, I prefer a medium coverage almost always since I don't have much imperfections.

I have normal skin and this foundation works super good. I get a good 6-8 hours of wear and that's all I need. I was super impressed on how well it lasted without it sliding or setting any powder. I also didn't use primer and it worked really good.

After 30 mins of wear it seemed to match my face really good, like it oxidized to my face really nicely.

I do highly recommend this especially for an everyday, it's very light with a good medium coverage. I found maximum coverage with a brush and as we know using a damp BB will thin out most foundations.

I purchased this at Wal-Mart for about $10 since makeup seems to be cheaper there than CVS and Wal-Greens.

NYX Suede Lipstick Soft Spoken REVIEW

As you may know I love liquid lipstick, i love all shades mauve, I love NYX and anything hydrating. Let's start.

So I went to ULTA for the first time on January 3rd 2016, yes I finally got with the program.

I first went to the +NYX Cosmetics  section they had, I am a NYX lover they have great products at a fraction of the price of some high end products.

I picked up a few stuff. I was mainly attracted to this shade, keep in mind I had no intentions of purchasing this, I was on a mission to get their new Cream Highlight & Contour palette in the shade Fair but it was sold out.

So I got a few other stuff. So I seen their Liquid Suedes and was sold immediately on this shade. Everything that I love, hello.

I didn't even notice if they had other shades. I got this and was hoping to like it.

Loreal Brow Stylist Definer REVIEW

Ladies and Gents: We have found a good brow pencil.

When I seen this at Wal-Greens while getting some milk, I was like yes, come with me, Let me test you out.

They had the 3 usual shades. (I don't know them right now, sorry!) So I picked up the darkest shade which is Dark Brunette.

Below you will see the comparisons between the ABH Brow Wiz and the NYX Micro Brow. It has a fine point, spooley, It is in between the Brow Wiz and the Mico Brow as far as fomula goes, its smooth and somewhat waxy. not as smooth as the Brow Wiz and not as waxy as the Micro Brow, it's in between.

I am already in love with this. This is a must have. It was about $8.99 at Wal-greens probably cheaper when it hits Wal-Mart. I am overall pleased, Highly pleased, It came in my perfect shade easy to use and the spooley isn't too bad.

I will pick this up for my makeup bag. Take it with me everywhere. I've never had a problem with these brow pencils to budge or fade but it's the thought.
(I don't like to carry high-end products in fear of losing them, meaning I love all my high-end products and affordable, but if I were to lose an affordable product I could easily buy it and is accessible to me!)

For reference I am in Ebony in ABH and Black in NYX.

Crown 35 Metal Eyeshadow Palette REVIEW

This was sent to me from Crown and I was surprised by this. How pretty are the shades? Shimmery shadows are my favorite especially with winged liner. Gives me life.

Let's get into the review shall we?

I was pleasantly surprised with the color selection, has just the right amount of brights, neutral, cool toned, and warm toned I would prefer more warm tones but only because its a personal preference.

This arrived in perfect condition. That is a plus for me. Packaging looks like it should, like the Morphe palettes do but this one is better because it has a big mirror inside which I love!!!

The formula of these shades are pretty good but not consistent. You have some shadows that are buttery and easy to use, and some shadows that are chalky, not all of them but some.

These shadows worked perfect with my MAC Fix + I mean beautiful. This of course did not include a transition shade which wasn't supposed to include one because its an all metal (shimmery) palette.

I do love this palette and the price of this is $22.95 which is a reasonable price for a good selection of shadows. I was super pleased with how pigmented the red shadows was, I don't own one and I was blown away. I give this palette and A-. I like to look for consistency with all the shadows in a palette and this didn't give me one. I mean it was only a few shades like the 2 blue ones, other than that, I recommend it.

StingRaye, Chilly Chill and Tenny Tiny ColourPop

So I love the Colourpop Ultra Matte lipsticks. Their formulas are pretty good in my experience I haven't been disappointed. So I gave in and bought quite a few. I got Chilly Chill, StingRaye and Tenny Tiny.

I have to say I am beyond upset. I was stocked to find out that MyRayeRaye did a collab with ColourPop and came out with her own shade. A mauvey shade which 'hello" it's up my alley. Wrong. I even thought that they mislabeled StingRaye, but they didn't. Apparently I'm not the only one who noticed this. I love ColourPop but this was a low blow for me.

As soon as it arrived it looked awfully similar to Tenny Tiny (pictured below) so I was hoping they were nothing alike, but they are.
As you can see on the 2nd picture below I have Teeny Tiny, StingRaye and Chilly Chill. Wet they all look identical.
Once dried Tenny Tiny is a bit brown, StingRaye has a hint of mauve and Chilly Chill has a slight hint of plum.

DO NOT GET ALL 3 because to be honest you can hardly tell them apart. If I were to decide on one it would be StingRaye because of that hint of mauve that it has. Also Teeny Tiny seems to not completely dry as fast as the other 2 shades, like it almost has a different formula.

Morphe 35O Palette Review

I like to keep it real. Here is the coveted 35O palette that everyone wants to get their hands on. Here i mine. Mine arrived shattered and some pans had to be glued back in.

As beautiful as this palette is, they have a lot of similar shades like the bottom left hand side look similar. The quality is definitely there no doubt.

So i contacted Morphe because this was ridiculous. I was upset. I have waited about 3 months to get ahold of this palette and for it to arrive like this was beyond upsetting. So I contacted them about the two shadows that need to be replaced and here is what they told me. "Please take a picture of the defected shadow pans and after we observe the damage we might be able to replace the pans, or the palette." Um, I paid $10 for shipping which is absurd and for it to arrive like this.

Talking about this palette. It is very warm toned. They have a mixture of mattes, and shimmery. I see quite a bit of dupes that I already own. For $23 + shipping this is quite a good deal to be honest. I will probably depot the shadows that I like into a Z palette. This is too bulky for me and it has no mirror in the packaging which is a deal breaker for me, JK.

Crown Brushes REVIEW

I get to review these lovely brushes from Crown Brushes. As you can tell I wasted no time using them! They are very soft and easy to use and the brush overall quality is excellent. I checked their website and they are very much affordable.  I forgot to picture one more, but I will mention in that sometime next week,

I have:

C473 Pro Contour-I have got to day these are all very good especially the Pro Contour, this is a very precise brush, super easy to use. It gives me an exact contour and I can contour my nose. This is very soft and blends well. I love this better than my Nars Ita brush.

C410 Flat Concealer- I find that this brush isnt verty good with concealing at all. This is good with smoking my lower lash line. Very soft and I don't poke my eye lol!

C467 Precision Eye Detail- This brush is very precise. I love to use this for applying my liquid lipsticks. It is so darn good. I can outline my lips fill them in. This brush really comes in handy.

C160 - 1/16- love to use this for cleaning up my brows with concealer. It is nice and stiff which is perfect. I also clean around my lips for a perfect pout.

CC3330 Pro Blending Crease-this brush is very soft, but I find it too soft to blend away any  crease shadows. I can blend away my transition shadows but definitely no dark shades with this brush.

Overall I give this a solid 8. Price point is an A+, Quality is an A, Presentation is an A. These are super affordable so I suggest you try them out. I have to say I will be making a purchase, and if I have to recommend which brushes to pick it would be for sure the Pro Contour and the C467. I love products that get the job done without using more brushes.

These products were kindly sent to me, I chose to do a review, these are always my opinion, and my thoughts and opinions are always genuine.

Milani LE Amore Liquid Lipsticks REVIEW

It's been long awaited I know and I haven't personally posted anything I've reviewed about so here's one.

So everyone was on the hunt for these liquid lipsticks and so was I.

They had 8 shades so I picked up 4 of what I thought suited me best and they were: Adore, Lust, Beloved and Embrace.

Formula- these seemed super easy to apply because of the doe foot applicator which I appreciate because it helps so much since its stiff you get better control and precise. They had a vanilla frosting scent which I love and it isnt overwhelming.

When they set, I found that some are streaky like Adore and Embrace which to me are very common in berry to darker shades. I needed at least 2 good coats for color payoff which is okay because they are pretty pigmented. I also found that they are very drying and almost makes my lips looked chapped even if they aren't so make sure to have good moisturized lips!

The price was decent at $5.99 at CVS which was great, they have a nice light scent and the color selection was pretty descent. Would I buy these again? Yes. They are very nice, but you also need to make sure your lips aren't dry and chapped. Apply a nice thin layer of lip balm and you should be good to go!

Brow Satin by Maybelline

Since brows are the thing right now, well sorta, Maybelline came out with this Brow Satin. I didn't even know they came out with this until a late ngiht coming home from work, and we all know how this goes, I was stopping to get milk, and my usual routines consists of making a stop at the makeup aisle, and there I seen this, they had like maybe 3 other usual shades. This is a unique idea. It has a creamy brow pencil on one end and the other end had like a brow powder sponge applicator. I must say that I absolutely love this product, especially beause at the moment drugstores have been lacking with their brow products and this really is amazing, I do highly recommend it.

It stays well put. It is a little bit thicken the ABH Brow Wiz but with the right angle and techniques you really can use it to your advantage, and for about $8 this is basically a steal.

ColourPop Haul, Swatches and Reveiw

I was eagerly waiting for my order to arrive on Friday. I seen right off the bat I was going to love the blushes! I got the Minx Society for $5, I beleive there was a glitch but nonetheless I have it, thanks to Shelby (Beautyandablog.com) thanks to her I took advantage so while I was there I got some stuff that I wanted to try some hits and misses. Shipping took about 5 days not icluding Saturday and Sunday. Overall I did like some stuff better than others which is normal. I really did love their blushes and their Lippie Pencils which I for sure will repurchase!

As you can tell I got some Lippie Stix and Pencil in the color Tootsie and Lumiere. The Lippie Stix were indeed creamy but I feel like they can be drying.

Tootsie liner was a fail because I just didn't feel like the color flattered me whatsoever, and I used it with the Lippie and I guess it wasn't my taste. It acually looked like I was pulling off the "chola" look even my husband kinda looked at me freaky.

Tootise Lippe Stix is so much similar to Cashmere which is great, even if its a couple shades different I am so okay with that! I really like this but its a bit drying.

Lumiere Lippie Pencil OMG! I love this, Kathleen did such an amazing job with this because it is so wearable, very natural, I love this, and I will be buying the Lippie Stix.

But both products were very inexpensive and the liners glided on so nicely. I will repurchase their liners with no doubt and I probably will purchase Lumiere Lippie Stix.

I really love their blushes, so pretty once applied, the only downfall for me is having to apply it with my fingers, I hate the feel of makeup on my fingers. It says you can apply it with a short stippling brush but I feel like doing that you don't pick up any product. Both blushes seem to give off a natural flush and I like that, the creaminess helps with that as well. I will probably invest in these bushes, they weren't as pigmented as I hoped they would be, but I still like them.
Prenup and a bit of shimmer but it applies so pretty, its my favorite,

Trickery is a cool toned coral, which I absolutely love!

Prebup and Trickery

The shadows, weren't doing it for me even if they were free. I felt as if they weren't pigmented, and you have to use your fingers for better results, and I don't like that, it is my fault I should have looked into this before applying, so my review might be biased. Some of the colors were gorgeous but they weren't really pigmented such as the

Roulette (black), it felt chalky and it looked chalky once swatched.

On the Rocks-had to be my favorite, it is a coppery shimmery pigmented shade, I love it. I wished they were all like this, so pretty my favorite.

Get Lucky (gold) was a sad one because I couldn't get it opened whatsoever, I even had my husband help me and he couldn't get it to open as well and I tried to contact them and I have had no luck.

Girly (pearl)-is a pretty iridescent pearl shade, not highly pigmented, great for inner tear duct highlight and brow bone.

March Favorites

I think I might do maybe monthly favorites, and of course they won't always be new stuff, maybe stuff I have been reaching for, or maybe recommend to me. If I don't have stuff every month I might do every other month. I think that might work for me! I'm going to go in depth with these, just a quick "why I love it"!

Simple Facial Cleansing Wipes-these really do help remove any creepy residue I probably have after cleansing my face, perfect for my acne prone skin and very inexpensive.

Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar-It breaks my heart that not a lot of people are a big fan of this palette, this is my ultimate favorite neutral palette. The shades are pigmented except the shade "Pink Sugar" but the rest are, I can do a neutral, fun and a smokey look with this palette, and it has some amazing transition shades, and yes I LOVE this palette than the other one!

Anastasia Liquid Lipstick "Pure Hollywood and Vamp"- I hate Pure Hollywood by itself and as well as Vamp. the colors itself didn't do nothing for me, Pure Hollywood looked ashy and Vamp was too burgundy for my liking, so I mixed some Vamp with Pure Hollywood and came out with the perfect rosy color, its an everyday color, and the formula is so much better somehow! Been loving this color everyday!

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel "Birthday Suit"- I love this cool toned white/grey color. This color makes my nails looks super chic, and it isn't an opaque. You really just need your 2 coats, and the best part is that these don't chip as fast at others.

Wet n' Wild Brow Wax-I've been looking for an inexpensive brow wax sand this was under maybe $2. It sets my brows down really good, it did at first have a creepy wax smell but that faded. I recommend this to hold your brows, i use this before applying any powder or pencil on my brows, so much easier to work with.

Anastasia Duo Brow Spooley and Brush-this is a staple, I don't know how I even did my brows without this brush. Unbelievable. This is the perfect stiff brush especially if you are using the pomade, it creates fine strokes, and the spooley really combs my brows, this is worth the investment.

Smashbox Primer Water-I love this. I did a review on this bad boy not too long ago, this is pricey but highly worth it.

Nyx Butter Lipstick- I am not sure what color I got, this came in my Ipsy bag and I love, perfect dusty mauve.

Maybelline FitMe Concealer "Light 10"- I used to use the color 20 Sand, and I really didn't notice any "highlighting" going on until I decided to go lighter and this, let me tell you, made a huge difference, definitely brightened up my eyes, nicely highlighted and I love it. Sand was too yellow for me, kinda blends in. This a staple of course.

Yes i said I wasn't going to ramble and that is what I did!

E.L.F Ultimate Kabuki Brush Review

I have had a good couple of days to try this out in different ways, contouring, highlighting, and bronzing. Let me start off this brush is super soft, it as big as your palm, and super affordable. Now I can't say this is a dupe to the Nars Ita brush because I don't own it, but here's my review.
Highlighting, it's just too big to do that job.
Contouring, it does a great job buffing the contour color, great for buffing out the jawline and cheekbones, not for the nose though, well maybe you can, the brush will really buff out the contour so there goes that.
Bronzing, this is the ideal brush for bronzing everywhere. It's big enough to get the face around temples. cheekbones, and jawline. It's so soft that it will nicely buff out the color to your desired look.
The bristles are so soft, softer than anything that they have in their line, I did notice very little shedding when I first got it, but not anymore. This is a good handy brush to have, I do love it and when summer time comes this will be the perfect brush to bronze for a nice sun kissed look. My reviews are always honest, I hope this helps!

Wet n Wild Contouring Palette

Spotted at Wal-Mart, it's a powder contour, for around $4. It's amazing how affordable brands are joining the bandwagon when it comes to the new trends. I have yet to find and purchase this to do further swatches and reviews, I hope this is promising though!

My Drugstore Finds.

Yesterday, I was at my local drugstores, and i seen they had boxes of Maybelline, and L'OREAL, I was so curious, I wanted them to restock, but they didn't until later on when I was at work, so when I seen these this morning, I just had get them, since I have been raving about them, but sadly I didn't see any of their foundations, and then again, everything was up on the top shelf, unreachable, I sure managed though.
The 3 below are the new primers from Mayballine. They all blur, which is a plus! The left one is primer illuminator, middle one is to control redness. and the last one is to smooth. They got really creative. Well done Maybelline. No other drugstore brand has something like this. I pciked up the green one and have yet to try it, looks promising though. I might have to pick the other ones up as well if this goes well. I do wish they had a matte primer though, that would have been awesome.

I picked up the concealer, and let me tell you, this concealer is super amazing. It's creamy and blendable it sure as hell tops my FitMe concealer. I love this concealer hands down. I don't know if this is compareable to the LA Girl, since I don't own it, but this one is amazing, I have to go buy the back-up just incase! Incase you were wondering I think I seen maybe 4-5 shades, it is very limited especially to my deep skinned ladies, sorry.
The brow plumber from L'OREAL is a whole lot better than the Maybelline and Hard Candy. The Maybelline gets all creepy and flaky, the Hard Candy, a lot of product comes out and your eyebrows look drawn, but this one actually makes your eyebrow look a lot nicer. I have sparse brows and this fills them in without looking harsh. Like the ususal there were 2 colors and 1 transparent, I got the medium to dark brow my brows, I might have to purchase the transparent and compare it to my Maybelline clear lash gel.
So these are my finds, I hope I filled any questions, I did see the L'OREAL nail polish collection that I mentioned, and the Maybelline lip prodcuts but they were very out of reach for me.
(All of these pictures were taken by me) :)

Lash Sensational by Maybelline Review

I was finally able to get my hands on this, about time, and this mascara is from Maybelline. The packaging is like a metallic pink bullet. Really eye catching, and you know me by know, I am a sucker for cute packaging, and of course quality.
It claims to volumize from root to tip, it has a fan brush, almost similar to the L'OREAL but not quite.   The mascara formula is more thicker, which helps volumize the lashes. I am really impressed with this mascara, it's so easy to use, I like the outcome, it doesn't dry out really quick. I honestly couldn't compare the two mascara's they both achieve a more different look, L'OREAL claims to fan your lashes out like a "butterfly", but it gives no volume or length. this mascara gives volume. It does have that strong mascara smell, when you first open it, but it doesn't linger on your lashes once applied.
